ChooseFrom for Exchange Online/Office 365

Purpose

Office 365 mailbox may have multiple SMTP addresses. For outgoing messages Exchange online service always uses the primary SMTP address. For example, John Doe has a mailbox with john.doe@companya.com primary SMTP address and john.doe@companyb.com secondary smtp address. John Doe can easily receive the message addressed both to john.doe@companya.com and john.doe@companyb.com, but he cannot send the message as john.doe@companyb.com because Exchange online rewrites the From address to default one.
ChooseFrom application allows Office 365 users to send an email message (or a meeting request or a task request) with any of their own SMTP addresses as the From address.
The application is a cloud service.

Installation

1. Set up a connector.
   

   In Office 365, click Admin, then click Exchange to go to the Exchange Admin Center. Next, click mail flow, and click connectors.
   Click the plus sign icon to add a new connector. Create the connector named "ToChooseFrom365" with the following parameters:

   

2. Let us know your default and alias addresses.

   Send a message to testChoosefrom365(at)ivasoft.com containing the following information:

   SMTP:address1@contoso.com smtp:alias1@contoso.org

   We'll send you back an email confirming that you can test the service during a week.

Testing

1. Open Outlook 365 and create a new mail message. Assuming that your alias address is "nondefault@address.com", place the follwing to the Subject line:
   Subject: Sendas:nondefault@address.com This is a test
   You can add any display name:
   Subject: This is a test sendas: John Doe <nondefault@address.com>
2. Send the message to any external Internet address you can operate.

3. Receive the message you have just sent and make sure the sender address (the From: field) is the same you have set in the Subject line in step #1. Also check that the Subject line contains only "This is a test" phrase.
