Purpose
Consider an Exchange 2007/2010 server that hosts multiple mail domains, e.g. domain1.com, domain2.com,domain3.com. The Exchange server is a member of the Active Directory domain ad.domain0.com. If the Exchange server generates a Non-Delivery Report, for example because someone has sent a message to wrongaddress@domain2.com, then the sender address of this NDR is always postmaster@ad.domain0.com. RightPostmaster for Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010 application can correlate NDR with domains, so that a NDR related to domain2.com will be sent from postmaster@domain2.com, and a NDR related to domain3.com will be sent from postmaster@domain3.com.
Benefits
Installation
On your Exchange 2007/2010 Hub Transport Server or Edge server computer:
1. Select (or create) a user account that is a member of the local Administrators, Domain Admins and Domain Users security groups.
2. Log on locally as that user.
3. Create C:\Program Files\RightPostmaster2007\ directory.
4. Download RightPostmaster2007-Demo.zip archive file to C:\Program Files\RightPostmaster2007\ directory and extract all files.
5. Start a command prompt. If you are running Exchange 2007, navigate to C:\Program Files\RightPostmaster2007\Ex2007\ directory.
If you are running Exchange 2010, navigate to C:\Program Files\RightPostmaster2007\Ex2010\ directory.
6. From the command prompt run install.bat.
Testing
Lets assume you have two e-mail domains hosted by your Exchange server: domain1.com amd domain2.com. Make sure the addresses wrongaddress@domain1.com and wrongaddress@domain2.com are not exist in your Active Directory.
1. Create a free test account on Yahoo (http://mail.yahoo.com).
2. Using Yahoo web mail interface, send e-mail from yourtestaccount@yahoo.com to your first unexisting address wrongaddress@domain1.com
3. After a while you will receive a non-delivery report
from postmaster@DEMO.domain1.com
4. Send e-mail from yourtestaccount@yahoo.com to your second unexisting address wrongaddress@domain2.com
5. After a while you will receive a non-delivery report
from postmaster@DEMO.domain2.com
Limitations
RightPostmaster utility version 1.0.0.2 can work on Exchange 2007 SP 1 with Update Rollup 4 or a later update rollup installed.
Uninstallation
1. Start a command prompt. If you are running Exchange 2007, navigate to C:\Program Files\RightPostmaster2007\Ex2007\ directory.
If you are running Exchange 2010, navigate to C:\Program Files\RightPostmaster2007\Ex2010\ directory.
2. From the command prompt run uninstall.bat
3. Delete C:\Program Files\RightPostmaster2007\ directory.
About this demo version.
RightPostmaster demo version always adds "DEMO." after @ to postmaster's e-mail address in a NDR.
So, if you send a message to wrongaddress@domain1.com, you receive a NDR from
postmaster@DEMO.domain1.com
Also RightPostmaster demo version adds "[RightPostmaster 2007 DEMO]" to the Subject line of each message processed.
Full product version will generate the following NDR originator address:
postmaster@domain1.com
and will not change the Subject line.

Q. I am installing this product on a 64bit Exchange 2007 machine. I followed the directions and tried them from the "Program Files" folder. I got the following error:
"install.ps1 is not digitally signed".
A. Set WSH to unrestricted mode as described here.
