Purpose

In the classic Outlook for Windows, when you have created a rule to delete spam messages, rather than letting them go to the Junk Email folder, you may have found that this method is not reliable. This is because once a message has been marked as Junk by the Junk E-mail Filter, no rules will be executed for that message. You can manually (but not automatically!) execute your junk rules against the Junk E-mail folder.

This add-in allows you to run rules manually or automatically against the Junk Email folder.

To run the junk rules manually, click the "Run" button in the "Junk Rules" group. The green background of the "Run" button icon indicates that rules are running automatically.

The application is a COM add-in compatible only with classic desktop Outlook for Windows. It does not support the new Outlook for Windows. Comparison of classic Outlook (with add-in support) and new Outlook for Windows

FAQ

What is the difference between the free version and the Pro version?

The free version allows you to run the checked rules manually only, by clicking the "Run" button. The Pro version also allows you to run them automatically, with a configurable frequency.

How can I upgrade from the free version to the Pro version?

Open the RunJunkRules options window and click the "Register" button. The "Register RunJunkRules" dialog will appear. If you know your Registration Name and Registration ID, fill in the appropriate fields and click the "Close" button. Note that "Version X.X.X.X Pro" is shown in the status line. If you do not have the registration information, click the "Order Online" button.
